The Tempest shares the same profile as the titanium Tyrant and the aluminum Talent, expanding the Tyrant family into a new material while retaining the shape that players have come to know. A C-size bearing and POM body give the Tempest a smooth, controlled feel with a character all its own. Machined from Delrin (POM-H), one of the finest engineering plastics available, the Tempest combines impressive stiffness, strength, and wear resistance with a naturally low-friction surface. The result is a throw that feels uniquely planted in play, offering a satisfying balance between the warmth of plastic and the precision of metal.
The Tempest made its debut at the 2026 National Yo-Yo Contest, where players immediately put it through its paces. The response was overwhelmingly positive, confirming the Tempest earns its place alongside its metal brothers.
