About The Maple
The Maple is a hand-crafted wooden yo-yo designed and built entirely by Paul Yath. Constructed from 37 layers of Canadian maple plywood — similar in composition to skateboard decking — each unit is individually machined and finished. Aluminum weight rings and hubs provide the spin time and stability needed for modern play while preserving the warmth and feel of a traditional wooden throw. Interchangeable caps allow for customized weight distribution. YoYoExpert described it as “a handcrafted performance piece built for modern play” that balances “the warmth and soul of classic wooden yoyos” with contemporary performance demands. A second run was released by popular demand.
