History / About
The Yo-Yo Museum notes that the Grim Sleeper was released in October 1998, a few weeks before Halloween, and is identical in form to the Da Bomb. It sold for US$15 under the Revolution Yo-Yos name. The standard body is purple, and a harder-to-find black version was reportedly packed one per case.
The YoYo Wiki states it has the same adjustable gap and teflon-sealed ABEC-3 bearing as the Da Bomb, and describes the name as a pun on the Grim Reaper and the sleeper trick.
