The Yo-Yo Museum describes the Silver Series Da Bomb as the Da Bomb with tru-chrome plating, with the TL logo on one side and the text “Silver Series – Team Losi – Adjustable String Gap – Ball Bearing” on the other. It retailed for US$30 in 1999.
Steve Brown says a hobby store sent Team Losi Da Bombs painted chrome with model paint, which prompted the series. Early chrome plating caused balance problems, and he hand-tested about 3,000 of the first batch. The YoYo Wiki notes short-packed gold versions.
