History / About
Released in 2018 as the polycarbonate sibling of the Surveillance bimetal, the Surveil reimagines the design with a PC body while preserving the stainless steel rims for maximum rim weight and spin power. Compared to its bimetal brother, the Surveil has a very light and speedy feeling without sacrificing control. The plastic body has a special finish resembling blast-coating that reduces friction for grinds and reduces sleep loss when the string contacts the body. The shape differs from the Surveillance — the light body demanded different proportions to make the most of the rim weighting. Note: uses special proprietary shims available only from mowl; losing them makes reassembly difficult.
