The TYY-01 was SPYY’s return from retirement and the company’s only titanium yo-yo. Released on November 8, 2015 via spyy.bigcartel.com, it was limited to approximately 150–165 pieces at $300 USD / $400 CAD with shipping included. Steve Buffel applied the same aerospace-grade machining precision to titanium that had defined SPYY’s aluminum work, producing an H-shaped profile at 56.5mm diameter and 41mm width. The TYY-01 used a Dif-E-Yo KonKave bearing and CBC 19mm slim pads, with a 316 stainless steel axle to avoid galling the titanium threads.
