The Ronin was Ed Haponik’s second signature model for SPYY — a heavyweight full-size design at 68.5g with a multi-step profile that balanced solid play with Haponik’s preference for deliberate, controlled throws. The bead-blasted finish carried laser-engraved artwork including a Hokusai-inspired wave and the kanji character for “Ronin” (浪人), referencing a masterless samurai. The Ronin used a large 4.25mm gap and accepted flowable silicone response. It was one of the most visually striking releases in SPYY’s catalog.
