About the Smoothie
Released November 3, 2017, the Smoothie was Kris Toledo’s signature model and Crucial’s first bi-metal design. Developed collaboratively between Toledo and Crucial founder Paul Yath, the design uses stainless steel rings to push approximately 30% of the total weight to the rims, maximizing stability and spin time. Despite weighing just under 65 grams, YoYoExpert noted it delivers “a beautiful presence on the string,” playing fast and stable through extended combos. It features one of Crucial’s softest grind finishes and simple engraving. A restock at a lower price point followed in February 2018.
