Per YoYoNews (Steve Brown, 5 July 2016), the Smashing YoYo Company is the brainchild of UK collector and player Jordan Blofeld, possibly the first UK-based yoyo company. Poppet was its first release, manufactured in China with an ethically run small engineering shop, and went on sale Sunday 17 July 2016. Specs: 54 mm diameter, 42 mm width, 64 g, 4.45 mm gap, 19mm slim pads, 7075 aluminium. Price was 65 GBP for solid colors and 70 GBP for fades and splashes.
