History / About
Per YoYoExpert, the Kubrick was a prototype that remained unrealized during Smashing’s active period. Jordan of OPYOYOS conceived three designs and a team vote chose the Kubrick. Its goal was a satisfying experience for its size rather than top performance. Raf, a team member who loves cinema, inspired the name from Stanley Kubrick’s wide-lens style. It was released through YoYoExpert in October 2023 as a 7075 aluminum yoyo.
