History / About
The Slingshot uses a reversed bimetal construction — a stainless steel body with 6061 aluminum rims. This is the inverse of the typical bimetal where aluminum forms the body and heavier metals form the rims. The result is a significantly different weight distribution and play feel compared to standard bimetals: the heavier material is distributed throughout the body rather than concentrated at the rim, giving the Slingshot a more planted, connected feel on the string rather than the floaty-yet-stable character of conventional bimetals.
