History / About
Juji is a wide-rim mono-metal from Shuriken Yoyos. Per the maker’s description relayed by YoYoSam, wide rims usually come with a narrow catch zone, so Juji widens the overall body to give a decently wide catch zone and disperse impact force on return. It weighs 61.75 g, with a wall thickness of about 1 mm in 7068 aluminum and the remaining weight placed in the rims. Japanese retailer YoYoStoreRewind describes it as an oversized (58 mm) flat-rim yo-yo that is chunky in the hand but lightweight, with a narrower effective width than its looks suggest. The logo is a small cross-shuriken artwork on one side. Shuriken’s Roppo announcement calls Juji the first of its monometals (oversized and chunky), followed by the slimline Senban.
