Playmaxx’s response to Henry’s Viper, the Mongoose shipped as a bare metal core with rubber-ring rims. A patent held by Henrys prevented Playmaxx from legally selling its own rubber shells, so the company produced “String Pilot” shells and gave them away free to fans and beta testers rather than selling them.
