The PC Hypernova is a machined polycarbonate reissue of Tyler Severance’s legendary Hypernova pro model, originally developed through three generations of designs at YoYoFactory. Described by Recess as “a timeless Tyler Severance Pro Model,” the Hypernova won 3 US National Titles, multiple Worldwide International titles, several top-3 World Yo-Yo Contest placements, and was used to create a generation of classic tricks. It was one of the first yo-yos capable of competing across multiple styles (1A, 3A, 5A) at the same time. The shape combines elements of H, W, V, and Organic profiles with even weight distribution into a happy medium that can suit competition or casual play. The PC version is slightly larger than the aluminum Hypernova to compensate for polycarbonate’s lower density. Available with hand-painted caps (each unique) and rainbow-dyed finishes as premium variants.
