Released May 6, 2016, the Oracle was Radical Seas’ exploration of bi-metal construction. Rather than the standard stainless steel ring, Jamelle Kent chose brass and copper as weight ring materials — each offering different density characteristics and a subtly different play feel. The 7075 aluminum body received a 180-mesh beadblast finish.
The brass ring version shipped in Emerald, Scuba Blue, Radiant Orchid, Light Blue, and Purple. The copper ring was limited to Midnight Blue, with a small batch featuring contest-winner artwork. A Butter Yellow Team Edition was produced for team distribution only.
The Oracle’s shape and weight distribution philosophy directly informed the Tempo, Radical Seas’ collaboration with 2SickYoYos released later in 2016.
