The Vanguard represents One Drop’s commitment to keeping premium, US-manufactured yo-yos within reach of players at every level. At a starting price of $49 for solid colors, it was One Drop’s most affordable all-aluminum model at launch — machined in their Eugene, Oregon workshop with the same exacting tolerances as their high-end releases.
The Vanguard is stable and powerful, with a shape that feels familiar from the first throw. It was designed to work equally well as a first aluminum yo-yo or as a reliable daily throw for experienced players, and it laid the groundwork for the value-focused line that later included the Gauntlet and Top Deck.
