The Top Deck is the signature yo-yo of One Drop team member JT Nickel. The design focused entirely on pure performance: using 7075 aluminum alloy — denser and stronger than 6061 — One Drop applied the same weight-to-rim techniques pioneered on their titanium Citizen to an aluminum body. The result is a thin-walled yo-yo that pushes mass to the rims for maximum stability and spin time.
The shape draws from multiple One Drop classics: a mid-weight step influenced by the Summit, a false-rim visual cue from the Cascade, and an organic catch zone that keeps the play comfortable. Despite 7075 aluminum previously commanding $120+ pricing on models like the Valor and Format:C, the Top Deck launched at $79 — a price point One Drop achieved through continued manufacturing refinements in Eugene, Oregon.
