History / About
The Gauntlet extended the value-focused mission One Drop pioneered with the Vanguard, offering a $49 starting price in a dramatically different shape: big, wide, and fully organic. Where the Vanguard is mid-sized and angular, the Gauntlet is large-bodied and smooth, with a catch zone that tapers elegantly to the rims.
Early feedback at contests was strong. The Gauntlet is stable, long-spinning, and fast, with a satisfying feel in hand that belies its accessible price. It demonstrated that One Drop’s in-house Eugene manufacturing could produce competition-worthy yo-yos without the premium markup of earlier models.
