Mediocre S is a solid brass, Side Effect-format throw from Return Bottoms (also operating as Sickburn Yo-Yo Workshop), sold in a 10-unit limited production run for $20 on the brand’s Bigcartel store under the status “Abandonware.” It uses One Drop-brand “OD Flow Groove” response pads and ships with included brass microcaps/flat caps.
“OD” in the listing refers to One Drop Yoyos as the maker of the response pad hardware used — not a collaboration or co-release with that company. The brand’s forum history separately documents a killed project called “That B” after One Drop enforced IP control over its Side Effect axle/bearing system, but That B is a distinct, separately-archived product ($85, B-size bearing, silicone brake pads, 12mm axle) and is not the same item as Mediocre S.
