The Marvel arrived with a degree of mystery — G2 requested a media embargo on photos during the review period, an unusual move for the era. High Speed YoYo noted it apprehensively but followed the embargo. The Marvel introduces design elements new to G2 at the time — a subtle organic V-shape profile with slightly rounded rims transitioning into the catch zone, whose walls round out partway down before reaching the gap. A departure from the more H-shaped Quake and Aftershock family. At 55mm diameter and 44.12mm wide it sits between the Quake (undersized) and Aftershock (full) in character.
