The Deluxe 99 stands apart from most of the Lumar line in its use of wood construction — a material otherwise uncommon for the brand. Its elaborate full name, “Genuine Lumar Deluxe 99 Champion Yo-Yo Junior Express Competition Model,” reflects the competition-event branding Lumar used during its promotional yo-yo campaigns. Unlike the tin models’ lithographed artwork, the Deluxe 99 carries a printed paper sticker label. Fixed axle; no bearing or response pads.
