The New Moon is one of LEP’s most technically distinctive designs, featuring a patented POM (polyoxymethylene/acetal) rim system. Rather than conventional stainless steel rings, the New Moon uses POM rims to achieve appropriate weight distribution while optimizing wall thickness and tactile feedback. The brand described it as maintaining inertia “equivalent to stainless steel rims” through material geometry rather than density. The POM rims are visible from the side, giving the New Moon a clean two-tone appearance. Priced at $55 USD and released in three colorways: Pink/White POM, Blue/White POM, and Purple/White POM.
