The Karasu is the first yo-yo maker Lewi (forum handle Herelieslewi / “Lewiii”) took to a real, if small, production run. Designed around 2021 and first shown publicly on the YoYoExpert forums in February 2022, it went through a purple prototype phase and a community color poll before the production run shipped in blue. Units were sold in small, informal batches directly through forum Buy/Sell/Trade threads rather than any retail storefront; Lewi tracked remaining stock down to single digits before selling out, and it has since circulated on the secondary market.
