The H2O was conceived at the 2008 European Yoyo Meeting in Vienna by HSpin’s Christopher Kayatz and Italian brand Oxygene. The production split the work across countries: HSpin machined and anodized the aluminum halves and performed laser engraving in Switzerland; Oxygene produced the titanium axle system and performed shrink-fitting in Italy. Based on Oxygene’s Oxy 4 model. An adjustable gap on a full metal yo-yo was extremely rare at the time. Remaining original 2009 production stock was offered via HSpin’s relaunched website in 2024, exhibiting minor vibration characteristic of legacy inventory.
