The switch from stainless steel to bronze weight rings increased rim weighting by 15%. The axle design was improved for greater precision, resulting in longer and smoother spin times. Shipped with three interchangeable washers (0.1, 0.2, and 0.3 mm shims) and a spare axle. 449 units were produced — significantly more than the 1.4 pilot batch — and individually serial numbered.
