The Gelada is MonkeyfingeR Design’s second release and the throw that established the company’s catalog identity. Named after the gelada (a large Ethiopian primate known for its distinctive mane), it features a classic butterfly profile with low-edge geometry. Developed internally as the “LUX” before launch, the Gelada introduced MFD’s practice of treating all throws with Buff polish — a standard carried through every subsequent release. Multiple colorway runs followed its initial drop.
