From Suspense:
“The next version’s idea was to change the design to be modular. One thing for me was to push the design extreme in both ways to find the middle ground balance point.
The concept was to have rubber weight rings that allowed for a press fit cap design. This made sure the caps were locked in, and eliminated any chance for vibe (in theory). It also allowed for smaller caps like Butterfly XT caps to fit.”
“This design was maybe too over engineered. The issue was that, it was far too hard to remove the caps once they were in. The yoyo also did not play well without weight rings inside, the stock bare bones setup was 57g, the yoyo was too light. Designing around all of these constraints was too hard, I would need to alter the design completely, likely ditching my original plan of an organic.
5 exist, one is with One Drop, one is with a friend, the other three are with me.”
