History
The First Base — ZipLine Edition was released May 19, 2023 as a collaboration between Recess and ZipLine Strings. Based on the Recess First Base polycarbonate platform, ZipLine’s version featured exclusive artwork by Jeremy Park and shipped with two AlphaLine strings and a special edition sticker. Sold exclusively through the ZipLine Strings store at $20, it served as an accessible entry point for customers discovering ZipLine through their string catalog. Each unit came with a half-spec C bearing for responsive play and a full-size C bearing for unresponsive conversion.
