The Firecracker is Recess’s modern responsive slimline — designed for players who enjoy a slim, tug-responsive yo-yo but want one capable of handling modern string trick complexity and multiple layers of string. As Recess puts it, “Firecracker plays both sides.” The stock rubber-shielded lubed D bearing keeps lube in place better than standard metal shields. An unresponsive grooved bearing is also included for players who want to run it fully unresponsive. The D Bearing Firecracker (current, $50) uses a D-size bearing configuration throughout and comes in Bomb Pop, Archie Kiss, and Rainbow Trout colorways. Currently in stock on recessintl.com.
