About the Gear 5
The Gear 5 is Enso Yoyo’s first competition-oriented design, released in September 2024. A bimetal with dual stainless steel rims on both the inner and outer edges of a 7075 aluminum body, the Gear 5 delivers the rim-weighted stability and spin time demanded by technical competitive play. At 50mm wide, it prioritizes string accessibility for whips and hops without sacrificing control.
Team Enso member Marc Zuno, who reached the 1A finals at the 2024 World YoYo Contest (18th place), threw the Gear 5 throughout his 2024 competitive season. His Prism Paradise colorway — cherry blossom pink with iridescent stainless steel rims — was released as his signature edition. Levi White’s Augusta Purple colorway was released simultaneously. The Gear 5 was later followed by the Gear 2, a smaller-diameter training variant of the same competition-focused lineage.
