The Dragonfly is the Duncan-branded successor to the ProYo Turbo Bumble Bee GT, which Duncan acquired when it purchased Playmaxx’s assets in the early 2000s. The original version used a ball-bearing axle and brake-pad response, making it one of the first mass-market string-trick yo-yos. The 2021 redesign replaced the bearing with a transaxle and updated the response to starburst, simplifying production while maintaining the wing shape. Interchangeable sidecap graphics remain a signature feature, allowing players to customize their throw.
