About the Anima
The Anima is Remy Baskin’s signature throw and the debut release from Dis. Designed to feel distinctive and playful while performing at the highest level, the Anima draws inspiration from the Turning Point 2, UNPRLD Suction, YYF Severe, and CLYW Akita. The press-fit aluminum cap construction adds visual character but can develop vibe if damaged; raw aluminum editions will acquire cosmetic marks with use. Packaging features a woodcut pomegranate illustration by Leonard Baskin.
The Anima was released in standard, B-Grade, hand-engraved Sean Thackeray, and artist-collaboration In Hyeok Choi editions. The In Hyeok Choi edition features original drawings laser-engraved on each side, documented in Choi’s film Beautiful World, shot in Osaka following WYYC 2023.
