Daizzy-Fly

Folio 1271

History

The Daizzy-Fly was the second Dif-e-Yo model, released in 2002 as another 55-unit numbered collector piece. Unlike the Daizzy-Yo, which was purely a proof of concept, the Daizzy-Fly introduced the feature that would define every player-grade Dif-e-Yo for the next two decades: removable rubber weight rings. The orange powdercoat finish and wider gap made it the direct design basis for the Dif-Fly.

Ten special units were produced in yellow anodize and housed in hand-lathed walnut wood containers crafted by Ed Davidson — among the rarest pieces in Dif-e-Yo’s history. A standard version came in a display case as well. The Daizzy-Fly moved Dif-e-Yo from collector curiosity to performance-focused brand.
