History
The MAG Stiletto is “the last model released in ‘The Mag’ Series” (per the YoYo Museum) and one of two Series 3 models alongside the Turbine. Series 3 was a significant departure from earlier MAG releases: it was the first to incorporate Custom Products’ Performance Ring response pads rather than relying solely on a tapered friction gap. The museum record notes it “came with the new ‘performance rings.’” The Stiletto was designed as a two-tone Red/Blue model, though some retailers color-matched all halves to solid Red to avoid the mismatched appearance.
The Stiletto and Turbine are notable for NOT receiving black Special limited editions — only Series 1 (Cyko/5-Star) and Series 2 (Avenger/Predator) had black variants. Released 1999, retail $49.99–$54.99. Colorway confirmed: Blue/Red (two-tone) and solid Red.
