Bone Chip Folio 1258

History

The Bone Chip was not a scaled-down Bare Bones but a complete redesign — smaller and thinner than the GTO while weighing approximately the same. It was produced in only 21 units, all in a red Hard Coat Anodize finish exclusive to this release, and sold solely at the 2005 National Yo-Yo Contest in Chico, California. This makes it the most production-limited standard Dif-e-Yo of the mid era.

Despite its compact dimensions, the Bone Chip featured extreme rim weight proportional to its size — a characteristic of the later Bone Chip lineage that continued through the Xbone Chip and XS Bone Chip. YoYo Museum estimated its collector value at $150.
