About the Big Squeeze
Fans kept asking Paragon when they’d make a 60mm yoyo. They weren’t planning to — until they 3D-printed one as a joke, aiming for a super-oversized throw pushing past 60mm in both diameter and width. A bright orange prototype gave off such a strong “giant orange” vibe that the joke became the Big Squeeze: a 90%-3D-printed, made-in-the-US novelty throw refined across many iterations to stay nimble and fun despite its size.
Instead of standard precision hardware, Paragon repurposed axle hardware from Crucial for a clean finish. Packaging leaned fully into the produce-stand bit: each unit ships in an authentic nylon mesh orange bag, finished with a custom clip-on leaf that snaps onto the bearing and a late-90s-nostalgia, Crazy Bones-inspired counterweight tucked in as a throwback bonus.
A limited run — Paragon made as many as they had material for. Release proceeded after trademark/design approval from fellow small-batch maker updn (@updnyoyo), whose own oversized “Orange” throw shares the citrus concept.
