The StarFly is a 2011 entry-level string trick model in the third Hyper Yo-Yo lineup. Its H-profile body with wide gap makes it easier to land string elements for players just beginning to learn string tricks — the wide trapeze width (30mm) catches the string without difficulty. Heavy for a plastic model at 64.9g, the weight helps sustain spin. It was later upgraded to the GalaxyFly (2011) which replaced the plastic bearing with a full metal UFO (Center Trac) bearing for improved performance. Oiling recommended as vintage examples age.
