The Hyper Russell Professional (also known as Hyper Russell Pro) is a yo-yo manufactured by Russell in South Korea and released by Bandai in Japan in December 1998 as part of the first Hyper Yo-Yo lineup. It is the Hyper Yo-Yo rebrand of Russell’s Professional model — a looping yo-yo molded in clear polycarbonate with flat bulged sidecaps featuring concentric rings, typical of Russell’s heavyweight yo-yos from the 1990s. The fixed wooden axle provides strong response for looping tricks, while the 53-gram weight — heavier than its sibling the Hyper Russell Super by 9 grams — allows noticeably longer sleep times. A Hyper Russell Super variant (weighing ~44g, diameter ~56mm) was also produced.
