The Hyper Loop is a yo-yo manufactured by Playmaxx and released by Bandai in Japan in February 1998. It is the Hyper Yo-Yo rebrand of Playmaxx’s popular ProYo II. The yo-yo features a modified body shape with laminated holographic pogs, a circular wooden axle sleeve, and came in numerous translucent color combinations. The original 1998 packaging erroneously labels the manufacturer as “ProYo II” rather than “Playmaxx.” The wooden sleeve is not suited for long sleepers but delivers strong responsiveness for looping and two-handed play. Available in glow-in-the-dark variants as well.
