History / About
Released to celebrate 10 years of Luftverk, the Akura TI-7068 is an aluminum-and-titanium version of the Akura originally produced in magnesium. It carries forward the bold “brutalist” design aesthetic first introduced with the 2015 Evora. The key engineering innovation is a hollow air pocket inside the titanium rings — rather than solid rings pressed against the body, the titanium contains an internal void that modifies weight distribution and contributes to a uniquely floaty feel while preserving the chunky, visually striking rim aesthetic. Required extensive creative problem-solving since the proportions of the magnesium original could not be directly translated to heavier materials.
