About the Virginia State Yo-Yo Contest 2026
The 2026 Virginia State Yo-Yo Contest (VSYC-26) was held September 19, 2026 in Center Court at Dulles Town Center in Sterling, Virginia. Organized by the DMV Throwers Yo-Yo & Skill Toy Club and presented by Goodles, it used the National Yo-Yo League (NYYL) ruleset, with results published on Compete.YoYoContest.com. The event had 53 registered competitors from 14 states, ages 7 to 38, of whom 50 competed, with an organizer estimate of 200 to 500 spectators. Divisions were X, 1A and Sport/Beginner/Junior. Chandler Steele (OH) won X Division with 91.00, Ryan Kim (MD) won 1A with 95.50, and Steen Harty (GA), age 12, won Sport/Beginner/Junior with 74.03. Virginia State Champion titles, awarded to the top Virginia resident in each division, went to Alex Curfman (X), Bryant Baus (1A) and Christian Eustace (Sport/Beginner/Junior).
