About the US National Yo-Yo Contest 2026
The 2026 National Yo-Yo Contest, organized by the National Yo-Yo League, ran June 26–28 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino following a season of nine sanctioned regional qualifiers. Sixteen-year-old Thomas Rajan of Madison, Alabama took his first 1A national title, edging runner-up Chandler Steele (who posted a rare perfect 10.00 originality score) and third-place Hunter Feuerstein — the win earns Rajan a US seed at the 2026 World Yo-Yo Contest in Japan. Other division champions included Matt Szeto (2A), Aliyah Tan (3A), Ryan Connolly (4A, edging Josiah Pulsifer by just 0.52 points), Sterling Quinn (5A), Katie Thompson (Women’s), and Park Jun Sang of South Korea (1A International), part of a field drawing competitors from Korea, Singapore, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, and Japan.
