Asia Pacific Yo-Yo Championship (AP) 2019

The 2019 Asia Pacific Yo-Yo Championship was the final edition of the contest before it went on a multi-year hiatus due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Garbkamol Limangkul defended his 1A AP title, winning for the second consecutive year, while Japanese competitors heavily dominated the rest of the field, with Arata Imai, Tsubasa Takada, and Yoshihiro Abe taking the 2A, 4A, and 5A titles, respectively. Singapore’s own Thawhir Iqbal proudly secured the 3A championship for the host nation. The regional contest would remain paused until its highly anticipated return and rebranding as the global “AP Yo-Yo Open” in 2026.
