Takara Tomy

Takara Tomy is a Japanese toy company formed by the 2006 merger of Takara and Tomy. Its yo-yo releases were occasional. The YoYo Wiki lists Pocketmate yo-yos from 1975, and the Yo-Yo Museum shows the Screw Ball, a Japanese version of Abbe Toys’ Black Mamba, as a Tomy product from 1997, before the merger. In 2022 it released the Mugen Yo-Yo, a battery-powered yo-yo that connects to a smartphone app.
