Markmont.
Markmont. is the independent skill toy brand of Mark Montgomery, 2003 AP World Yo-Yo Champion and longtime figure in the yo-yo community. Mark has been involved in the sport since 1996 and was previously sponsored by Duncan, Yomega, Buzz-On, and One Drop Design.
All Markmont. aluminum throws are machined in collaboration with One Drop Design in Eugene, Oregon. The brand also produces hand-twisted yo-yo string under the Markmont. Formulas label and small-batch roasted coffee (Markmont. Joe).
Mark studied graphic design and animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design and worked at Adult Swim. His design philosophy blends classic organic shapes with modern performance — most fully expressed in the Markmont. Classic, which went through twelve prototype drawings and six physical builds before release.
