Alox Manufacturing Company
Alox Manufacturing Company of St. Louis, Missouri began in 1919 as a shoelace maker, according to the YoYo Wiki, which cites Lucky Meisenheimer’s collectors guide, and expanded into kites, marbles and jump ropes. A 1938 St. Louis magazine account supports the company and its founder. The wiki says it entered yo-yos during the 1930s craze without lathes of its own, buying yo-yo halves from other makers and painting and assembling them. Its Flying Disk and Jeweled Flying Disk are listed.
