Hello, and welcome to The Yoyo Archive! I’m your curator, Rob, and I recently took over the site from Aaron. I’ve got some big plans for the site, though they may take a bit of time while I develop the bit and bobs needed to hold all the new information. Until then, please pardon the dust and enjoy all the current content the site has to offer.

For those that don’t know, back in a time called the nineties internet wasn’t as accessible as it is today. Believe it or not, not everyone had the internet in their home, or even had a computer! So things called “newsletters” were produced. This is how we got a lot of our yoyo information then. The Noble Disk, and the YoYoTimes, were the two main newsletters. The Noble Disk, written by Bill Alton, mainly focused on the scene in New England, and the east coast. But there is a ton of useful information in these, and history. Interestingly there is an article on “flow” in Volume 9 Issue 1.
Sadly, Bill passed away on August 13, 2012. He left the original files, and the books he wrote, to his good friend “Mr. Bay.” I contacted Mr. Bay about getting the files to create this PDF, so that as many as possible could read it. Mr. Bay kindly sent me all of Bill’s hard drives so that these could be converted and saved for future reading.
You can read, or download, a copy of the Noble Disk below.
