This is the exact type of yoyo I wanted the ThruLine to be, everything the ThruLine should have been, and everything I’ve been looking for from OneDrop in a yoyo.
Probably one of my favorite EDCs because it’s a very flexible and generalist yoyo. Lovely shape and weight distribution make this a joy to play with.
I debated putting it in SS-Tier, but I think to really get it over the fence, it needs some design tweaks. Couple mm wider, maybe an extra gram(?), and just less gorilla grip with the binds.
Play: Competitive

I think a full-sized version of this would’ve been incredible. This thing just felt tiny and restrictive to me. It’s powerful and has decent stability for its size. It offers comfortable maneuverability but average pacing.
A 10mm axle with a yoyo this small and built the way it is is crazy though. I bet this thing takes a beating.
Play assessment might be a bit off because it’s been actual months since I played with this yoyo, I made notes for yoyos I tried with their ratings at worlds

If you put the enjoyment level of this yoyo on a graph, it’d be an exponential function where the Y is the enjoyment and the X is the age of the player.
It sucks major league buns for modern tricks but they’re… doable. It is unresponsive after all.
But it is fun. Oldheads rejoice.

Value: Terrible Bind: Snaggy Sturdiness: Metal Baseball
If you can buy this yoyo you’re in a different tax bracket than me. Consider donating your cordovan leather boots and Versace sunglasses to someone who needs them (me). At least it’s good. Felt kinda hollow and nimble; not particularly solid but still good and generally capable.
