The Wolf is the signature model of Daniel Ickler (Zammy), a specialist in Moebius-style yo-yoing. Jacob Gross reached out to Zammy in late 2015 to develop a collaborative signature; the project was confirmed via a teaser post simply reading “G2 x Z, get ready…” Sammy requested a baby of the One Drop Code 1 and Code 2 with a double rim. Jacob had a 3D model drafted in under two weeks. The Wolf is a full-sized H-shape with a double rim feature — designed to be “solid as a rock equally to being floaty as a feather.” It was meant to sit between “casual” and “competition,” serving either role. Multiple runs were produced between November 2016 and January 2020 when it was retired. The DireWolf (oversized variant) and AL7 Wolf (7075, 3 limited runs) were notable special editions.
