The Triton is G2’s third release and their first of 2013, arriving after the brand won New Manufacturer of the Year at the end of 2012. Reviewer Brett Grimes (High Speed YoYo) described the Triton as a “night and day difference” from the Albatross despite visual similarities — the profile retains the Albatross rim curve but adds Project 2-style grooves and a more industrial cup with a sharper inner rim cut. At 66.7g it has more heft than its predecessors, contributing to what reviewers called “rock solid” stability. The Triton is especially suited for flowing, artistic tricks and longer combo play.
